After two weeks of practices and scrimmages, our local teams are ready to take the field for the
kickoff of the 2016 season. As I said in the preview of the season 2 weeks ago, it should be
competitive in both leagues. KSRO will begin their Third season broadcasting high school football on the radio, starting September 9. Dave Cox will be doing play by play honors, along with
different analysts throughout the year.

Montgomery Head Coach Marcelo Bautista is looking forward to have a much stronger Line this year.

YSN Game of the Week (Video Highlights)
Piner @ Montgomery
Tom Harris begins a new era at Piner as he takes over for John Antonio. It is unsure will lead
the Prospectors at QB. For the Vikings, Bryce Burroughs will take the snaps for their offense.
Kickoff is set for 7:30pm.

Petaluma @ Windsor (at Cardinal Newman)
This game will be a battle at a neutral site as Petaluma and Windsor will meet at Cardinal
Newman High School on Friday. That game is set for an earlier 7:00pm kickoff. Junior Justin
Wolbert was named Petaluma’s starting Quarterback for this game. Windsor will counter with
Kobe Roman running the Windsor attack.

Maria Carrillo @ Analy
Analy will begin their quest for another SCL Championship and another shot at an NCS
Championship, Friday, as they play their first football game on their new field. QB Jack Newman looks
to be the leader for the Tigers.

Napa @ Casa Grande
Casa Grande will be retiring Number 4 in honor of the late James Forni with a pre-game
ceremony beginning at approximately 7:15. As for the game, last year, Napa won 48-19. Casa
Grande is improved, so it will be interesting to see if the Gauchos can hang in there with the Napa.

Santa Rosa Head Coach Dennis Brunk ready for his second season with the improving Panthers.
