Boys Basketball Tournament at Montgomery

This weekend marks the kickoff off to the high school basketball season and a great opportunity to see high level boys basketball right at Montgomery High.
The 17th Annual Russ Peterich Viking Tip-off Classic opens this Thursday and runs through Saturday and features some of the best teams from Bay Area and beyond. This annual tournament may be the most competitive, early season tournament throughout the Bay. The field includes recent North Coast Section and State Champions and an outstanding team from Reno.
In addition to Montgomery, the challenging field includes Monte Vista from Danville, Campolindo from Moraga, Redwood form Larkspur, McClymonds form Oakland, Vanden from Fairfield and Eureka. Participating for the first time is Galena High from Reno which was one of the top teams in Nevada last season.
Games on Thursday and Friday are scheduled for 4:00, 5:30, 7:00 & 8:30. Saturday’s game times are 12:00, 1:30, 3:00 and the championship game at 4:30. All games at the Viking Dome on the campus of Montgomery High School.
