NCS Round Two Preview

An NBL Matchup serves as the quarterfinal matchup in the NCS D2 playoffs. Windsor hosts Santa Rosa after having a bye in the first round. Windsor finished 7-3 in the regular season had was the number 2 seed. In the regular season meeting, Windsor used a big second quarter to pull away from the Panthers 50-26. Kobe Roman has been a force for the Jaguars. He’s averaging 131 yards in the air and another 54 yards on the ground. Joey Pignatero has been wrapping up about 10 players a game. They’ve only given up 16 points a game defensively in NBL play. For the Panthers, Isiah Steele has thrown for 230 yards in the air and 40 more yards in the ground. He’ll have to link up with Kalei Aukai for Santa Rosa to keep the Panthers in the game.

Rancho comes off a possible upset as they got by Saint Mary’s of Albany 35-28. Jake Simmons and Logan Reese is the tandem that will have to continue to mesh if the Cougars and Ed Conroy’s continue their season.

Jack Newman and his 45 touchdown passes come into their quarterfinal game against the Gauchos. They look to stay on path to a possible NCS Championship game vs Rancho Cotate.
San Marin @ Cardinal Newman
Cardinal Newman gets their first taste of playoff blood as they host San Marin. Jordan Brookshire and Damian Wallace look to keep momentum after their thriller in the NBL Championship game. They’ll look to get off to a fast start to the NCS championship game.
